Fully collateralized clearing capability expands Quanta’s integrated U.S. derivatives platform and supports the next phase of product development

CHICAGO, IL, UNITED STATES, September 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Quanta today announced that the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has registered Quanta Clear, Inc. as a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), marking another significant milestone in the development of Quanta’s U.S. derivatives marketplace.

The registration expands Quanta’s market infrastructure with a fully collateralized clearing model designed to support institutional-grade risk management and transparent markets. Together with Quanta Exchange, Inc., a CFTC-designated contract market (DCM), Quanta now has the regulatory foundation to support an integrated exchange and clearing platform.

“DCO registration represents an important next step in building the infrastructure we believe is needed to bring new and innovative products to the derivatives market,” said Fran Kenck, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Regulatory Officer of Quanta. “Our focus remains on developing products that address real world risk management needs while delivering a transparent and efficient marketplace for participants.”

Quanta Clear’s initial clearing model is fully collateralized and designed to support sound risk management while providing institutional access, including the ability to support FCM participation. The clearinghouse will complement Quanta’s existing market infrastructure and provide a flexible foundation as the company develops its product, clearing and launch roadmap.

“Quanta was created around the idea that important risks in the economy are not well served by existing derivatives markets,” said Robert Gordon, President of Quanta. “Adding Quanta Clear gives us greater flexibility in how we design, launch and support the next generation of exchange-traded risk management products.”

Quanta is led by a team with decades of experience in exchange-traded derivatives and continues to advance a pipeline of new derivatives products across markets where it believes standardized, exchange-traded solutions can improve price discovery and risk management. Quanta intends to launch products on Quanta Exchange with clearing provided by its existing clearinghouse partner, while Quanta Clear provides additional flexibility as Quanta develops its broader product roadmap. Additional details regarding new product offerings and launch plans will be announced in due course.
